Ardmeallie and Boat of Turtory Fishings

Where we are

The River Deveron is in North-East Scotland, between Aberdeen and Inverness. It goes out into the sea at Banff, the old county town of Banffshire. The next big river to the West is the Spey; to the South-East, the Don and the Dee.

Family Holidays

This is a great area for a family holiday (including non-anglers) - fabulous scenery, wildlife, beaches on the balmy Moray Firth (roughly 12 miles away), distilleries, castles and a profusion of ancient stone circles. No crowds.

Accommodation

There are numerous B and B's in the area, and the odd hotel, and holiday cottages to rent. We particularly recommend those available from Portsoy Marble (Tel: 01261 842404), located in Portsoy and Whitehills on the coast.

Getting here

Train from London to Aberdeen (sleeper if wanted) and on to Huntly; plane to Aberdeen or Inverness; road.
